We opened in November of 2019 and immediately entered the City of Burien holiday window decorating comeptition. We were new to the neighborhood in the entrepreneurial sense, and felt pressure to deliver --to make our mark and let our presence be known .
Result
We came in third. Beat out by some well hung led lights around a dojo's window frame and a small Christmas tree in a salon window.
Lesson learned
Holiday Window competitions are rigged. We will limit time spent on comepatitve window displays this season and instead focus our insides...that's what counts. Lights and greenery will be hung from the ceiling with care, in hopes that painters soon will be there.

I know Thanksgiving is on the horizon, and it is infuriating when Christmas decor arrives in the store front windows too soon, but advantage goes to the prepared! So pick your date, notify your guests and come celebrate with us this holiday season!
